Scientist by nature, communicator at heart
I started work as an environmental scientist and quickly got pulled into the world of communications and relationship building. Today, I help companies around the world talk about some of the biggest issues we face. I believe it's only by combining the ingenuity of science and innovation with the power of empathy and humility that we'll achieve change the world needs.

Here's a little bit about me.
I've got a degree in Zoology and a masters in Ecology and Environmental Management. I started out working a conservation charity - first exploring rivers looking for otters then managing the Cornwall Biodiversity Action Plan. Eight years at the Environment Agency taught me loads about life – from managing a big teams to media relations and corporate affairs. I took a leap into the unknown in 2010 when I started a family and went freelance, not knowing where it was going to take me. I've worked with clients all around the world since then. I'm fascinated by human nature. Why do we do the things we do? What makes us human? Can we really change? I think we can, but it's not easy. Constantly exploring knew ways of thinking inspires me and keeps and my feet firmly on the ground. |

Here's what you can expect when you work with me:
I won’t give you the answers, but I will help you find them. I could present a nice, shiny outcome that makes you look great and me look clever, but that's not what I’m about. Instead, I'll help to uncover the words and stories that are truly, authentically yours.
I’ll tell you what I think, not what you want to hear. Because I want to get you (and the rest of us) the best outcome. I might challenge your perceptions, shine a light on things you haven’t considered and encourage you to be braver and more transparent.
I’ll give you confidence to have difficult conversations. Talking about climate change isn't easy and facing up to your human rights risks can be downright scary. But it's what people want to hear. Hiding behind jargon and making meaningless claims doesn't work. Instead, we need humble and open conversations that build trust and drive real change.
Integrity is a big thing for me. I’ll only work on projects that align with my values and what I believe in. I might not be the right match for you either, and that's ok.
I understand change is hard. Afterall, that’s what we’re doing here. This work isn’t just about communicating, it’s about getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, being vulnerable and having challenging conversations. I’ll work at your pace - as long as we're going in the direct direction, we do things when you're ready.
